Annual book sale is back in action!
Community members pick up books at the Used Book Sale

This year’s MIT Community Service Fund used book sale made an outdoor debut at the lively and welcoming MIT Open Space plaza, behind Bldg. E38. It was great to bring together MIT and the Cambridge community around the love of reading and books. Thousands of books were donated by MIT community members and the sale raised $1,575 for the MIT Community Service Fund (CSF) to support MIT volunteerism and Cambridge and Greater Boston nonprofits.

“MIT Open Space was thrilled to host the CSF used book sale in November as this effort perfectly aligns with work we strive to do,” commented Mars Calderon of Open Space Programming. “We work to create an open and accessible space for all to enjoy. By doing this, we work with collaborators like CSF to activate, give back, and provide for the communities we serve. Efforts such as this particular book sale bring both community and connection to benefit the MIT, Kendall Square, and Cambridge ecosystem. We would like to thank the MIT Community Service Fund for the immense dedication, commitment, and passion they continue to bring within their impactful volunteer efforts!”
